Problem Event Name: BlueScreen on Windows 7 Home Premium
Hi all, getting the dreaded blue screen of death. It crashes when on the web (intermittantly), I restart in safe mode, run System Restore, and I can rebot in normal mode. An hour or two later, crash.
Please help!

What model PC? It does make a difference.
But that points to a possible video problem and maybe overheating. Download "Speedfan" (free program) CLICK ME and monitor the temperatures, especially the video, and see if that is the problem.
If this is a laptop, you may need a laptop cooler to sit the laptop on. If it's a desktop, make sure it's sitting where it can get adequate air circulation (and not heated air) - a computer desk compartment usually is not a good location as they usually restrict air flow.

Thanks for the start.
It is a Dell XPS 8000, a desktop. I have had overheating issues in the past with other pcs, it isnt fun. If anyone else has ideas I would love to hear them.
Does the Blue Screen typically indicate a hardware problem then? I ask because I would try to reboot several times without hopping into safe mode and performing a system restore, and they all failed until i actually did run the program. That part of it seems to suggest software, of course it may have just taken that long to cool down...
Anyway, appreciate any comments here!
