problem with one user, not the other

My computer has developed a problem I would have assumed was impossible.  This PC is set up with two user names, to allow for automatic activation of personal settings like font size, toolbars etc., just like a motorized car seat with several memories.  On one of the user names everything works OK, but on the other one, when using Internet Explorer, the computer usually crashes whenever a new window is requested, either by clicking on something that opens a new window, or by manually opening a new window via the File menu.  The crashes have included messages such as "program is not responding," "DrWatson" whatever, "C++ Runtime" something... When I click "End now," I am always offered the opportunity to send an error report to Microsoft, which I do.  Can anyone help me?

User profiles can become corrupted. Delete it and create a new one.

I agree with him. Best solution is delete the problem username and then create a new one.

You're both right, it worked!  Thanks a bunch!

Alas, the problem keeps returning after a few hours or so. I've deleted and created the user profile twice; each time, it looks like the problem is fixed, but the fix turns out to be temporary.  Another nuisance is that sometimes when a new window (attempts to) open, the address bar disappears in the old window (and never appears in the new one).

After deleting the problem profile for the third time, I used a different user name to create a new profile.  That was about a week ago and so far so good.
