Same here.

I have a DELL Inspiron 17 7737 with Windows 10.

All drivers have been updated from DELL website.

The computer demonstrates erratic power behavior. When in sleep mode, there's still noise and it won't wake up. Additionally, the part between keyboard and screen gets pretty hot.

Shutdown and restart are sometimes successful, sometimes the laptop gets stuck and has to be manually rebooted.

How to solve this?

Have you installed the chipset driver from the Dell driver downloads for Windows 7/8? That hasn't solved the fan noise problem (of course), but no sleep or wake problems. And the lid does what it should.

If you haven't done that, try it!

After windows10 upgrade my Dell XPS L702X has te following problems:

1. Fan makes a lot of noise.
I checked the task manager but didn't find any strange processes
The fan even makes a lot of noise when doing nothing!

2. When the laptop is going into standby mode you can't go back to normal mode.
Only way to activate the laptop again is to do a reset!

i am not positive if this applies to you. i have a dell 3542 laptop.. but this has helped others with different laptops.

this concerns the power and sleep modes and not shutting off..

this is a copy of the post i answered from some one else, had the same problem..
my problem was from the Intel Rapid Storage ,
yes Martinkit, that is exactly what happened to my laptop, the same as what u experienced with the power problem.
as i said in post
go to Control Panel
on bottom left side, click uninstall program
there are 3 programs to uninstall
Intel rapid storage (i think it will say, have to stop program first before uninstall - click yes) and think it asks to restart system, just go ahead and click yes)
intel management - something or other (cant remember the exact name, but its the only one titled like that)
intel security assist - (also cant remember the exact name - but the only one with a name like that)
on my laptop 3542 , after uninstalling those 3 program there is only one program left made by intel and that is the graphics , obviously , u do NOT want to uninstall that

I run Dell System Detect and got the message "No driver updates found. Your system has the most recent updates" ...
