This is infuriating! I keep trying to download this file without success. What is wrong with the Dell servers? There has to be an alternative download source that actually works!

Thanks but I'd rather just download it and I don't understand why that's proving to be such a problem. This should be a 5-10 minute download.

I could just about live with the slow speed if only the download would actually complete but it keeps failing at various points. Not long ago with one of my attempts I got within literally 4 or 5 MB of completion before it failed, it's like it's taunting me.

I would very much like to agree with Artie. I have been trying for a few hours now to download said iso file and am also only get to right around 4GB out of 6.5 (listed as the file size). I'm not sure who you all are using to host your recovery images but they need to be fired ASAP. I need this image NOW.

You'll just have to keep trying. I actually succeeded eventually, ironically only after I no longer urgently needed it.

Just curious, when the ISO completed... was it actually 6GB?

What a POS. I'd say I have tried at least a dozen times since last night on multiple PCs. Every time the download manager says completed at 4.1GB. Funny thing is, if you mount the "completed ISO" it thinks it is 6GB. I think Dell needs to check the hosted file on their side for corruption.

Yes I had multiple attempts stop at that same 4.1GB point also. It's bizarre that they can be so incompetent with something that should be so simple. Are you trying to download the exact same file as me?

what folder does this file download to?  it does tell you anywhere; and I can not find it.

If I remember correctly, it defaults to %userprofile%\Downloads

I know this thread is a bit old, but for me, after all downloads problems (exactly the same file), the way I managed to solve was initiate the download on opera browser (android), there I can get the full download link. Then I copy and paste into DAP and suceeded getting the 6.36Gb file (please note you must copy and paste within 1 hour, or the link will expire). But now when I boot, it finds the flashdrive, but as soon as it starts, I get the message: NO HARDDRIVE FOUND, and I click ok and the computer shuts down. (Yes, I have a Toshiba 512GB SSD). Any hints? Thanks a lot !
