Problems with AIM and MSN login

Question

My MSN and AIM programs won't login giving me the message to try again later or AIM could not connect. My internet is functional as internet explorer is working. I tried to turn off my firewall and log in again. but that still didnt work. So as a last resort i have tried to system restore to today earlier this afternoon. I thought that would be the solution, but no difference was made. Any suggestions on why this is happening?

Vertify that you have the correct date and time settings on your computer (along with regional settings possibily). Do this by double clicking on the clock on the bottom right of the screen set to the 16th July 2008. If not what firewall and security are you using? Do you have a proxy server on your network?

Thanks! it seemed to be that my computer changed the year to 2000.
