Re: boot up
Hi
I have been facing problems for last few days that everytime i boot up my laptop ( inspiron 8000), it boot up normally and comes up with window, checking for error ( scan disk error) ( that usually come up (scan disk) when you do not shut down computer properly). I need to cancel that doing. if i leave that till it finishes, it never finishes. So this was happened after i installed few palm software and upgraded my MS outlook XP to outlook 2002.
May be there is some conflict between the software. Please help me in this regard.

When i try to intstall Pocket PC software on my laptop, it also installed MS outlook for PDA syn. i do not know Why?. May be it updated, Eventhough i do have a Outlook 2002, PDA Syn did not work before that.

I suggest you run system restore to the point before you installed either the Palm software or Outlook upgrade. Then reinstall them individually and check your system performance in between.
I'm curious about your Outlook upgrade, since MS Office XP includes Outlook 2002. What was it you were trying to upgrade?
