RealPlayer - No Sound Problem

Hi,

I have the latest free version of RealPlayer, which has been working fine on every site I visit, except http://www.scienceupdate.com/june04.html#040614. (My friends say the files all play on their PCs.) I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling RealPlayer, verifying my settings, etc. to no avail. The weird thing is that when I click on any of the links on that page, RealPlayer pops up, and the file starts running; there's just no audio.

Can anyone suggest what I might do to fix this?

Thanks,

Richard

the files won't play for me, either.. realplayer said that it needed an update to play the file, it downloaded codec 3.0, started playing, but no sound came through.. i did get sound to work through real player at two other sites, for testing..

Same here-no audio and I also downloaded the codec 3.0. I also had no video. Is there suppose to be a video also?

Thanks for the replies. I finally downloaded and installed the free "RealPlayer Alternative," which a friend recommended, and it worked! (There's also a "QuickTime Alternative," but I haven't had any problems with QuickTime, so far.)

The files on that site are audio, but RP Alternative plays videos, too.
