It sounds like the MMJB is detecting "silence" on the CD and creating separate tracks automatically.  I didn't know MMJB could do that - I checked my MMJB (I have the full registred Plus version) and I didn't see anything in the Recorder setup for that, but check your Recorder setup in MMJB just in case you have something different in the Dell version.

Since you are using a Dell DJ, there is a separate forum for that device.  It may be better to post on that forum section, or scan through the posts there to see if your question has already been asked.

I use several "commercial" programs that have excellent "recording" programs.  Right now the best one I have on my PC is the Roxio Easy Media Creator, Version 7.5 - the recording program in that suite of progrms is very user friendly.  I also have a Cakewalk product, "Media Works" that also has a user friendly recording program.  Both of these have "split" function in them to split apart songs but they won't do it unless you tell them to - the default is NOT to do it.

I've never used MMJB for recording but, my Plus version does not hae the automatic split in it either. 

I assume you are recording the entire CD at one time without stopping, right?  There should be no splitting it into multiple files if it's recorded non-stop at one time.
