Reinstallation of Windows XP

I have a Dimension 4500S desktop that I will be giving to my granddaughter.  I would like to reinstall Win XP so that the pc will be like I got it from Dell.  I have all the necessary disks that came with the computer.  I'm just trying to be reassured that all I have to do initially is to use the Dell Reinstallation CD MS Windows XP Home Edition provided.  The only internal hardware I added since I purchased the 4500S is additional memory. I assume also that Win XP home software does not have to be registered again.  It's been a fabulouse computer, I really don't want to mess it up.

The OS reinstallation disk is all you need to reformat and reinstall windows.  I would do a reformat/install and not a installation over the current OS so that the old stuff is really wiped off and nothing messes up the install.

How to reformat and reinstall windows xp.  Do worry about the registration part in the link below since this has already been done by Dell.
