Hi

 

I have reinstalled XP after numerous failed boots and not really knowing what i was doing didnt do a backup of files. this is mainly because i couldnt get in to XP and didnt know how to do this

Anyway, i now have XP booting up ok, but all my files and programs have gone!! Obvioudly I can reinstall software but I would like to recover pictures and things that i cant replace.

I'm not sure if i have formatted the hard drive!, I have tried the restore point but this is post reinstallation. Is there anyway i can restore the files?
