repair install failed and unable to boot
Dear all,
I have a dell dimension 4500, pentium 4, 1.7 gz, 1 mb ram.
I was having trouble with my computer, initially with my network wireless, then, I used registry mechanic to clean my registry...then, I was unable to boot normally, I was only able to boot safe mode and then, not even...so I decided to do repair install, when I did this, several files were not in the XP disK? I continued, and now, when reboot hangs in the XP screen!
what should I do?
thanks

If you have access to another system which can accommodate the hard drive from your 4500, install it there and copy the perishable data stored on it to removable media, then put it back in the 4500 and do a clean reinstallation of XP.

A "clean install" does not refer to cleaning the CD, but rather is used to differentiate from a "repair reinstall" or an "upgrade install." The procedure for a clean install is here.
