Running the correct OS on precision 630

Question

I have a Dell Precision 630, running XP at the moment, and was wondering if my workstation can run windows 7 or 8? Will there be a need to update the hardware too? And could I switch from a 32bit to a 64bit?

I am not home at the moment, but I could have got the information mixed up. I think my machine is a 690.

According to Dell' documentation there is no Precision 630, there are Precision 530 and 620. If your is a 530 and you have at least a gigabyte of RAM you should be able to run Windows 7, 32 bit version only. PS I did own a Precision 530, a long time ago
