setup files to get to dos prompt

Question

how can i get hold of a cd so it can boot from cd ,under upstart so i can get to prompt, i need to do this so i can flash bios up to A4 on XPS 720h2c   i have trouble with rebooting , was given advice to go down to bios A03, that got it wourse,   i have a pc with XP on and another with vista ult, x32, on this cd i also have to put xps-a04.exe so i can get this bios flashed up to A04   can any1 help out.

Does your computer boot normally? If not, what error message do you get or just exactly what does it do? The bios you speak of does not need a CD rom. It is an executable file that can be run from the desktop.   If your computer does not boot normally then that needs to be corrected before you run a bios update.
