Shortcuts on Desk Top
I downloaded FireFox and then uninstalled it. My problem: I get the following message when I try to open a shortcut on the desktop that I created in Internet Explorer:
"Windows cannot find FIREFOX.exe"
How do I correct this so that the shortcut function uses IE?

In Internet Explorer go to Tools|Internet Options|Programs tab. Check the box "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser." That will reestablish IE as default.

Denny, thank you so much!!! This worked. I have so many other computer problems so it's great that one of them is fixed.
