Sleep settings revert to 1 minute

I have a new Dell XPS-8930 and having a problem with the Sleep settings. The setting keeps reverting to 1 minute. I have tried resetting back to default and the change is saved, however the system then randomly resets the setting back to 1 minute at some point. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?

I have messed with this for over 5 months and recently resolved this issue. I was also seeing issues with this affecting my ability to watch any video. I would have to reboot in order to watch any type of video - even on Facebook. The Video would just not load and run. Fast forward, after months of searching I discovered a post on one of the forums suggesting that the culprit is a software program called "Intel Ready Mode Technology". I uninstalled it and have resolved all of my problems with the sleep mode and the Video Issues. I am 6 weeks free from this problem. Tough one to resolve but it is working.

Same in here.

My guess is Dell reloaded software is doing this. I cant find which one, so I can delete or something.

Same issue. Super annoying!

Same here. I had changed it to to say 20 minutes, and just now it started sleeping every minute. Super annoying as others have said.

I also lose sound sometimes after it goes into to sleep mode and have to go into the sound settings and press okay. Before that I was restarting the computer every time.

+1 Same issue, super annoying. Is it Windows 10 for sure? Could it be Alienware suite?

Same here, extremely annoying! I believe it's related to restarting after an update.  My restarts are scheduled for 1AM, one was just done this morning.  I seem to remember this issue last happened after another update and restart as well.

I am having the same issue.  I have updated all my drivers and bios.

And the same here. I'll be listening to a Symphony and all of sudden the system goes to sleep.  It seems random and unpredictable. And annoying.

Same, just got a nice new Win 10 Dell XPS 8930 and the system sleep timer keeps reverting back to 1 minute, and doing it randomly.  The system is not suddenly going to sleep when I'm using it as others have described, but I have the same problem exactly as you described.  In the "Power and Sleep" page of the display settings, I keep selecting "Never" for when the system goes to sleep, and every once in a while, I come back to the PC after being away for several hours, or overnight, to find the system is sleeping, and when I go back into the power and sleep settings, there it is again set to 1 minute!  Very frustrating.  Is this Win 10 or is it Dell or is it some other piece of software reverting these settings?  Nobody seem to know yet.  I'm thinking of leaving a chrome web browser running with a single tab left open and use a tool like Super Auto Refresh to force it to refresh the page every 60 minutes for example, see if maybe that helps.

Same here.  Dell XPS8930. Reverts to 1 minute on a pattern I haven't yet identified.

The pattern does seem to recur whenever Windows update runs.  Mine ran last night and now it is set to 1min again.  That makes me think it is related to Windows.

Dell XPS8930 again.... ironically.
