Leaving a packet writing disc in a PC during shutdown is a good way to kill the disc! Always eject so writing and formatting is completed.

In fact it is a better practice to eject the disc even though you may use it in an hour or so…

You should also be aware that packet writers, all of them, are considered the most unreliable form of burning ever devised!!!

It should never be used for any sort of backup or archive of any data you consider important! ( who backs up unimportant data?)

thanks for the comments.  why would i only have this problem with one computer?  and why inconsistantly?  ... the reason i use this form is because of ease of use ... after formatting with dla the cd is like another drive (drop/drag ... cut/paste)

I don't know why for sure but something about the OS and burner are the cause.
