sonic dla problem

Question

I keep getting messages on boot up that the sonic dla must remount the disk (cd in drive d) because the disk was ejected before the previous writting session was complete.  This is despite the fact that I did not eject the disk.  I have used newly formatted disks but the problem keeps comming up on a regular basis (although not every time).  The disks seem to work properly (I am able to put files on and off and open and use them without a problem) but it is annoying to have to wait for a remount when starting the computer.  Any suggestions?  I never had this typ of problem when using Roxio's similar program which came with my older Dells.  Also I have a recurring problem that may or may not be related ... every month or 2 I get a 'screen dump' total shut down with a message like 'page fault'  and a reverence to 'css_dvp.sys'  I would appreciate any assistance. Leaving a packet writing disc in a PC during shutdown is a good way to kill the disc! Always eject so writing and formatting is completed.

In fact it is a better practice to eject the disc even though you may use it in an hour or so…

You should also be aware that packet writers, all of them, are considered the most unreliable form of burning ever devised!!!

It should never be used for any sort of backup or archive of any data you consider important! ( who backs up unimportant data?)

thanks for the comments.  why would i only have this problem with one computer?  and why inconsistantly?  ... the reason i use this form is because of ease of use ... after formatting with dla the cd is like another drive (drop/drag ... cut/paste)

I don't know why for sure but something about the OS and burner are the cause. 'ease of use'??? You have been warned…
