What is sonic update manager??? When I boot up, a panel tells me to install it, but I do not have the disk that it requires to install it. what does it do? Would this have anythingto do with my dvd burner not working ? My dvd burner is the infamousHL-DT-ST+/- RWGWA4164B. Or should I just request a replacement, as it has'nt worked since I go the computer last Feb. Thanks for any info. moldan9901
