startup delay

my pc all of a sudden decides to let me down..... it delays loading my scanner which completes startup for 30sec.. may not seem alot but is annoying... no new anything no new hardware or sofware... i shut it down at 11 pm last night and booted it up 1pm today... any suggestions?

try system restore also you can try click on start > run > type in msconfig under general put a check mark next to selective startup, on the top right click on services at the bottom there is a ok button just above it there is an option called Hide all microsoft services put a check mark next to it and then cleck on disable all and click on apply at the botton right. after that again on the top right click on startup click on startup and click on disable all and click on apply on the botton right and click on close it will ask you to restart the computer so click on restart

jeez man! i just rebooted and it was fine! I dont know what it was... but im glad my dell likes me again!

but, what could have caused my system to slow in starting up 2 times in a row???

You miss my point. With Windows, there doesn't have to be a reason. :)

Another point, if you can't reproduce the problem, you don't have one.

no osprey4 it is not rhetorical... and of course i have windows! I really dont know what caused my pc to slow temporarly with out reason..
