sticky notes + failed downloads + disable mousepad + check system
Hi,
I have started to get a message when i log iin saying "sticky notes has failed to initialise (quit) please refer to help if problem persists"
also happening, but i'm not sure if it'd related, i can't download any programmes such as itunes etc. I get a message saying:
itunes could not access network location %APPDATA%\
I have two easy questions: where do i go to check what operating system i have and how can i diable the mousepad on my laptop!?
Would really apprecaite some help, thanks!

As for Sticky Notes, if this just started, you might want to do a System Restore to last date available before the problem started. Personal files will be ok, but you will have to reinstall any software or updates originally installed after the date used for the System Restore. Click Start>Help&Support, look for a link on that screen to "Undo changes...", follow prompts.
When you boot the system, you should see a Windows "splash screen" that says what version of Windows is loading. Or, if you press the that Windows key (lower left of keyboard, between Ctrl and Alt keys) and press Pause/Break key at your desktop, a System Properties screen should open that identifies the version of Windows running.
Without knowing what model laptop you have nobody can help with the mouse pad question.

Thanks for the suggrestion. I'll try that on the weekend.
The laptop is an inspiron 1545 - any help disabling the mousepad would be appreciated! thanks michael
