Stop: c000021a {Fatal System Error}

Question

Since last week, when I start my computer, a blue screen appears when windows is started. It displays the following system error:   Stop: c000021a {Fatal System Error} The sessionmanager initialization process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x0000034 (0x00000000 0x00000000). The system has shut down.   I'm not able to boot in safe mode nor to restore the last working configuration. I tried to fix the problem using CHKDSK, this didn't help either.   Does anyone how this problem is caused and if it is possible to solve it?   Thanks,   Mark

Hmm, have you tried using the Recovery Console?   http://www.windowsnetworking.com/j_helmig/wxprcons.htm (link contains intructions for Windows 2000 and XP)   Also, did you install or update anything right before the problem started?
