Stuck on "Installing Update" screen
EDIT: Okay nevermind. Somehow it decided to boot up normally now. o_O Or it might be my fault thinking that I've turned the laptop off when it was actually in sleep mode. -_- *points to self* Idiot.
Hi everyone
I've decided to clean install my 1420 today and everything went fine until I had to restart my lappy for some updates to be installed by Windows Update.
It's been stuck on the same screen for over 5 hours still saying:
"Please do not power off or unplug your machine.
Installing update 23 of 53 ... "
The loading circle's still spinning and the ... are still moving. It's not frozen (I think). The activity light isn't busy. It lights up once in a while.
When I try to turn it off by holding the power button, it shuts down but then I try to turn it on again, it's back to the same screen! *screams* (I know I shouldn't have but I got impatient). I tried booting it with the DVD and pressing F12 when I turn the compy back on but nothing. It's stuck on the same screen.
If anyone had the same problem and found a solution (getting out of that screen), can you please tell me how to do it or direct me to an older post?
Thank you.
