Stuck on what I need installed, and a floppy drive problem

I recently had a crash on my computer and lost everything.  Well first let me get to the floppy drive proble.  After I get past the Dell Logo screen it takes me to a black screenw ith some copyright info at top and a pharse  diskett drive0 seek failure.  Was told this could be a harddrive problem but when I went to my system menu(Hiting f2 on that screen) and going down to event log, it says error about myfloppy drive not being detected.  I do not have one on my coputer, which is one problem, how do i stop it from going to that screen.

 Right Now I have no sound, but I can install games and stuff on computer.

Secondly I opened my Device manager and noticed a yellow ? by these:

Ethernet Controller(has a yellow ?!)

HEWLETT-PACKARDDESKJET 3820( only yellow?, and I think I may know these one)

SM Bus Controller(Has yellow ?!)

Video Controller (Yellow ?!)

Video Controler (VGA Compatible)(Yellow ?!)

Then under Sound, Video and game controllers

IDT High Definition Audio CODEC( yellow !)

Will post more once I get it, just getting starting info

EDIT- It is not reading my speakers,and yes they are hooked in

EDIT-Specs are AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ 2.00 GHz 1.00 GB RAM Physical Adress Extension

Also I have Service pack 3 on my computer and Im runnin Windows XP
