Studio 1737 64-bit Windows 7 question(s) about installing drivers using Dells standard driver installation procedure

Dell has a procedure for installing drivers.

How to Install Drivers in Microsoft® Windows® on Dell Systems

I have a Studio 1737 Vista Home Premium 64-bit system. I see that Dell has some of the Windows 7 drivers available for my system but NOT all of them.

How can I install the Notebook Utility for Windows 7 when there isn't any?

There is a Notebook Utility for Vista 64-bit.

How can I install the Chipset drivers(Intel GM45 Express Chipset Family) for the Studio 1737 when they are not available for this computer?

The drivers are available for Vista 64-bit.

We have been telling members(standart procedure) for some time that they eed to install these drivers first or the rest of the drivers will NOT install.

Where are the Notebook Utility and Chipset drivers at? I try to make sure I have all my drivers on disks before I install the operating system. I had all the drivers before I went from Vista 32-bit to Vista 64-bit and the installation went with a minor issue. There was no Broadcom Netlink Gigabit Ethernet driver for Vista 6-bit but I managed to locate on from another model.

When will Dell have these drivers available?

Other drivers in question are...

Intel GM45 Video

Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi MB

Creative Labs Integrated Webcam

Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100

Broadcom Netlink Gigabyte Ehternet

Dell 32 Bit Diagnostics (Graphical User Interface version)

Authentec AES2810 (Was told this version is not Windows 7 compatible)

Rick:

I have an almost identical setup as yours - it's a new machine.  I did the upgrade to Windows 7 and now the system doesn't see my DVD drive.  I have searched everywhere and tried everything that has been suggested - nobody has a clear cut solution.  I performed all of the suggestions in the Dell support page for this problem too and nada.

Did you experience Windows 7 not seeing your DVD drive?

I thought Windows 7 will automatically find most needed drivers.  Is this correct?  I'm curious about the drivers myself as I plan on doing a clean (custom) install.
