System Config Utility

I reformated the hard drive on my Precision M60 and now at each startup the System Configuration Utility screen appears.  I have inserted the checkmark for normal startup, etc., countless times, but the utility screen persists in appearing.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks....

BlackHat,

I have checked and clicked the System Configuation Utility so many times I almost have a callous on my "click" finger ......  or maybe it's another finger!

Anyhow, I am aware of how I believe the configuration utility is supposed to work, but there's obviously a hiccup.....  I was interested to know if anyone else had encountered a similar anomaly and how they may have solved it.  Perhaps "repairing" WinXP will do it, but I almost consider that high risk behavior, especially since I just reformatted the HD.

Thanks ........

For those who may be interested:  it seems after reformating the HD and then reinstalling software, the MS Config Utility loaded (and appeared on the screen after each system boot) because I granted permission to the utility to load each time when I installed WinPatrol (a super little utility itself).

The hiccup was no big thing, but just one of those annoying "why is this happening" experiences that took me about ten hours to resolve -- though I readily admit I ain't a bright fella'.
