System Mechanic 7

Have any one used System Mechanic 7 with Vista? Im just trying to find out is it worth getting for my computer. I have heard that your PC needs optimizing, etc....

"System Mechanic 7 Professional too often feels like a hot-shot garage mechanic that recommends an oil change even though your car has barely driven 3000 miles"

"From user reviews on the net, I've noticed that users might even have problems with their registry after installing this program. "

This may be a better choice for you for system optimization.

I can't say about Vista, but like Mombodog, I've had customers with System Mechanic 7 and I've had to "fix" those that "had" it.

Currently I have three working PCs.   Windows XP Pro,  another Windows Vista Ultimate and the last Windows  2003 Server.  I installed the OS on each.  I made no tweaks, and no performance improvements.  As a result. I haven't seen a BSOD in atleat a year,  the system are like the "Energizer Bunny"  they just run and run.  PS the system are used heavily for software development and graphics arts/MultiMedia, Photoshop etc.

I guess System Mechanic 7 is not a wise choice. I dont want any thing that will cause problems. Any other choices or should i just leave my computer alone.
