Transfering Information to New Computer
I'm trying to transfer information from my old computer to my new computer using the Files and Settings Transfer Wizzard. I'm using floppy discs. I transfered Internet Explorer Settings without any problem. I've selected the option to custom select files. I click Outlook Express and click on Next. The transfer begins but takes a an extremely long time to transfer and I observe that there are files being transfered, such as some games, that have nothing to do with Outlook Express. Why is it taking so long and why are files being transfered that have no connection to O.E. ?
At this point I'd settle for just my email address. Is there a way to get the address book only?
Thanks

Yeah sure! The address book is pretty easy, I've done it a few times.
Address Book Transfer:
Exporting Address Book.
1. Open Outlook Express
2. Go to File
3a. In the drop down menu go to Export
3b. Then go over to Address Book
4. Choose Text File (Comma Separated Values). Hit Export.
5. It will ask for a name and place to save it under. Hit Browse, find where you want to save it at, then type in the name you want and hit Save. Hit Next.
6. Choose which fields you want to save (i.e. First Name, Phone number)
7. Hit Finish.
8. Find your file where you saved it.
Copy the file to your floppy or whatever you going to do the transfer with
Importing Address Book
1. Open Outlook Express
2. Go to File
3a. In the drop down menu go to Import
3b. Then go over to "Other Address Book..."
4. Choose Text File (Comma Separated Values). Hit Import.
5. It will ask where you saved it. Hit Browse, find where you saved it at. Hit Next.
6. Choose which fields you want to import (i.e. First Name, Phone number)
7. Hit Finish.
There ya go!
