Transferring a software prog from old to new computer
I have a new Dell with XP Home.
I want to transfer FRONTPAGE prog from the old computer to new.. it's the program I use to edit and send up my website..
also want to get all my word documents over without having to try to first put on floppies (they're too small to hold my documents with pics anyhow)..
Any advise would be appreciated..

FrontPage will have to be installed from the installation CD. You can't copy the program from the old computer to the new. Actually most programs are the same way, you have to "install" them from their installation CD or program.
Since you apparently do not have a CD burner in the old PC, you could temporarily connect your old hard drive to the new PC using one of the spare IDE ribbon cables and a power connector (make sure the drive is strapped for Cable Select). Then just copy the data files from one hard drive to the new one. That would be a "no cost" solution.
There are other ways, such as buying a serial "null modem" cable and using the serial ports to transfer from one PC to another. There are commercial products that will transfer data via USB ports, etc.
