trouble with windows startup

Kids got on computer (It's a dimension 2400, running  windows XP home) while I was away, now have error message displayed on screen it states:

A problem has been discovered and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to my computer....

Has tech info at bottom with following codes:
 0X0000007B (0XF8AA2528, 0XC0000034, 0X00000000,0X00000000)

ALways returns to this page on reboot, even though I select from the offered reboot points (last config,Safe, safe w/msdos prompt)

Can anyone offer any advice?

When I googled "Stop 0x0000007B", this was the first thing that came up:

Did you try searching before you posted?

Sure did. I tried the code but didn't put the word stop. Dell tech says motherboard is trashed and they are shipping new one. Other problems i searched and found was another error code in the IDU drive? After test it had a "drive 0 MAXTOR 6408060-fail Return Code 7" which promoted Dell tech to ship new board. Still don't think that's the problem , but what the heck.....they should know.
