Question

Trying to collect actual systemconfiguration !!!   Downloader/kontrollerer Dell systemprofil-plugin... it says !!   Explorer resulting in securitywarning ... Install sofware for /da unknown   I accept to install BUT still not able to read systemconfiguration for service tag :(

Myfirstproblem, what is your problem actually? Please try to describe it. What you tried to do, using which program(s) and what are the (error) messages you got.

If all you want is Dell's service tag number for your system, there should be a sticker somewhere on the tower (usually on the side) with that number.

Belarc Advisor, free here, will also give you the Dell service tag number and info about your system config and installed software:

MyFirstProblem,   If your Dell is an Inspiron or Latitude, the Service Tag is on the bottom of the laptop.   Tony

Have you got IE6 security set so high that it's blocking attempts to read your system info? Or is it your firewall that's blocking...? Ron

You MUST use Internet Explorer to collect information online. Firefox or other browsers don't work.

With IE6 you can get the information regarding the hardware configuration of your system.

Go to the page http://support.euro.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=uk&l=en&s=gen and choose the link "Find my Service Tag". You must allow to install a small add-on called SysPro.cab. Check if you have enabled this, otherwise you will not be able to use this facility.
