Two versions of STMIcroelectronics Accelerometer installed in one PC....
I have a Dell Studio 1558 and I have two versions of STMicroelectronics 3-axis Digital Accelerometer installed in one PC. First, I had v1.06.08.17 but then I wanted to install Windows 8 on my PC and then I installed v4.11.0028. This was actually meant for Dell XPS (The new range). This didn't cause any problem and the Free-fall Data Protection Software runs perfectly! While I was installing the new version, I installed it in the same file where the old one was already installed. Is it bad to have two versions of STMicroelectronics 3-axis Digital Accelerometer installed in one PC.
*I ran the Windows 8 upgrade assistant and I came to know that STMicroelectronics Accelerometer v1.06.08.17 was not compatible. So, do I need to uninstall the old version? Will this affect my PC and the new version of STMicroelectronics Accelerometer.
Thanks,

EDIT - I have not installed Windows 8 on my PC, yet.

uninstall the old version it should still work fine however in the unlikely case it doesn't work you can reinstall the old driver.

I uninstalled the old version, but I cannot find FreeFall Data Protection in the control panel....Is that a problem?

I would leave it just now, uninstall the old one and install Windows 8 then look for it again or reinstall the Windows 8 driver after Windows 8 is installed.
