Unable to download
I am running windows 98 second editiion. When I try to download and print from a website this is what happens.
The download box comes on and progress meter looks as if it is downloading however, when down load appears finished the download box "Flashes" I have to hit escape! no download!
Can someone please help me

The download will have a name...including, a file extension. This will normally be the last three letters after the "dot" toward the end of the name. As example, "filename.exe" or "filename.zip" (extensions underlined only for accent).. I suspect that a small correction needs to be made in how you have your folder options set to handle whatever file type you are having problems with but without knowing precisely what the file type is, there's no way to guess at it.

Thank you, Dan, in trying to help me resolve my problem. As you may have already guessed I'm not too computer savy.
As far as I can tell I think you are right about the way my folder options are set.
The file name says pdf file!!
Can you help me in re setting the folders.

Ah...
PDF files require Adobe's "Acrobat Reader" to open. You can download it (freeware) from here:
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
Download the file and once done, run the install. From that point on, opening .pdf files should be, "automatic".
NOTE: After having a look at the current version I see that the system requirements are W/98SE or later. If you have W/98 first edition you may be better served by finding an older version of Acrobat Reader. Should this be the case, older versions can be found, here:

FWIW, I still run version 4.0 on this old W/98 maching with never a problem.

Well your solution worked! It was the acrobat reader. I used to have it on my computer but somehow it vanished! Anyway, thank you so much for helping me I really appreciate it. I know if I have any more problems I will ask you. Your good.
