Uninstalling McAfee Security Center

Question

I am having a really bad time trying to remove McAfee completely off of my PC.

Nothing in the registry is named McAfee. Nothing in the Programs Folder is McAfee, I cannot find out the problem.

I even tried using their uninstaller and this failed to remove the Security Center, it removed everything else BUT the SC! What shall I do to completely remove this off my computer? I no longer have the CD, it got scatched really bad to where the CDRom can't read it. So.. I am lost!

I do not have the disk anymore;( And, it's not in my add/remove programs..

I ran it, i even went in safemode and ran it... but my new software still says its there.

If you are sure you have removed it thur Add/Remove Programs and it is still showing up, and after you have run the Mcafee uninstaller, go to:   Program Files>Mcafee (or whatver they call it) and dlete the folder.   We have one databse program that just refuses to remove itself from the list and this is what we do with no ill effects.
