NOW, I AM GETTING a fatal execution error & da-paslog.exe common language runtime debugging svs. applicaton has generated an exceptin that could not be handled...process id=oxb8(184) thread id= ox1c4(452) click ok cancel or cancel degug, is this related to the error before?

what was the update? see if you can uninstall it from 'add/remove'. usually, you can. if that doesn't solve the problem, try using system restore.
