Upgrading GX1 to WinXP cannot recognize Linksys USB adapter for networking
Just upgraded GX1 to XP Pro and cannot recognize my Linksys USB adapter for INternet or home network. Error messages indicates that USB port (which is how I previously linked to reuter) cannot be recognized or found.
Any suggestions? I cannot seem to find an appropriate driver anywhere to remedy the situation. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Did you leave the USB adapter connected to the USB port when you did the XP upgrade? If you did that may be your problem as the instructions for installing/upgrading Windows XP is to disconnect all peripheral devices. (They all have to be reinstalled after the upgrade and anything that needs a 3rd party driver needs Windows XP specific drivers as the older drivers are incompatible).
Was there anything flagged in the Windows XP Upgrade Advisor about the USB? The Upgrade Advisor is extremely critical to a successful and problem free upgrade and anything that is flagged, software or hardware, needs to be addressed before actually doing the software upgrade.
