URL'S FROM WITHIN EMAILS AND ON THIS SITE CRASH THE COMPUTER

If I try to launch a website from a URL that I have recieved within my Outlook Express, it crashes the computer.

In addition, if I try to launch a URL on this site (i have tried "Private Messages" and any of the Forum QUick Links on the left, it does the same thing. The machine hangs and the ONLY recovery is switched off and turn it on again.

If however i copy & paste a URL into my browser, everything works, but clearly this is time consuming.

This hanging of the machine happens even if I only have my browser open.

You could try re-registering urlmon into the registry.

Close any opened programs before beginning and the click Start, and then click Run. Type

regsvr32 urlmon.dll and then click OK ( there is a space between regsvr32 and urlmon).
