Using An SSD for a Boot Drive Re: XPS 8500
I just purchased an XPS 8500 with Windows 8 (NOT Pro). I want to use a 120GB SSD drive as the boot drive. I tried using the Dell Backup & Restore function to put the system image on the SSD. However, the HDD that came with the PC is 2TB. When I go to install the image on the SSD, I get an error message that the SSD is too small.
Do I need to (order and then) use a Windows 8 install disk?

Well, this is the whole point. Do I need to order from Dell a Windows 8 install disk? Or is there another way to do this with what I have on the PC right now?

You can order here if you are in the U.S.

Better to do a clean install on your SSD drive.
