Using Skype with Vista
Has anyone had problems with the audio (mic) settings while trying to use Skype with Vista? I have 3ea XP machines and all work well. When I use Skype with my Vista XPS M1530, Skype will "hear" my voice but re-produce it like it's computer animated. Suggestions?
Thanks,

What computer do you have. Do you have the most current drivers loaded for the sound card.

I have never tried Skype, so I can't say if it works or not.
Do you have a webcam? I only ask as the webcam console will sometimes have voice effects that make ou sound like a robot or munchkin. If you have a webcam check the webcam console settings and see if voice effects are on.
If you don't have a webcam on the 1530, then I don't know what could be causing it. You would think it would just work. But many people have been saying that about programs and VISTA for almost 2 years now. Although I have, and like VISTA.
