Vista and sevice pack 1

Question

Hello, I will be getting a 531 desktop on wedensday. I am getting Vista Home Premium with it. I know Microsoft will be releasing service pack 1 for Vista at the end of the year of 2007. When it releases will my system upgrade to servive pack 1 or do I have to purchases it?                 Thanks for the replies,  Rinkerwolf

Services Pack are availables for free, it was for Win2000, XP, it should be the same for Vista, it will be part of the updates, or also a CD request for free (maybe just shipping)

'So why do people wait for service pack 1?'   SP1 will solve some bugs in Vista, so they wait before using it.

Hi All, I AM JUST CURIOUS What will be the position of us, who are already using VISTA and on a regular basis have this automatic updates. Am I correct that the proposed SP-1 for vista would be that of all the accumulated downloads? or do you think the SP-1 will have features that will further enhance the OS in certain ways and not available in the regular VISTA updates?   snow

It will come through windows updates, some people wait before installing it to see what issues arise because of it, if any.
