Vista and uninstalling programs namely Quicken

I need help with installing and uninstalling quicken. I have vista and everything I have tried to do has been one big pain in the rear end.  Quicken did not install right.  I can't uninstall, using all their suggestions (qcleanui.zip nor windows installer cleanup worked), or the remove program in vista windows.  The restore feature will not let me go back far enough to restore prior to installing.  Quicken's Tech people had me on-line for over an hour giving me the same steps posted on their website that I already followed.

Quicken 6 runs just fine on Vista.  Rename the Quicken program folders by adding a 1 at the end.  Reboot and see if that helps.

I'll try the suggestion.  Thanks.

That usually tends to work in situations like this.

True that it ouwld not help uninstalling the program, but it should help reinstalling the program so you can uninstall it.  However, now that I think of it, just reinstall Quicken in compatibility mode for XPSP2 and once it is installed, unintstall it.

I know that sounds stupid, but I have seen it work.

Thanks jm, but that didn't work either.  Tried it several times with quicken support people. Nothing is helping.  Quicken 2007 will not work for me, but an old Money 2000 will load.  Sure hate to give up Quicken, perfer it much more over Money.
