Vista Speech Recognition

My vista speech recognition works fine on wordpad and notepad, but does not print out anything with Works word processor. Instead, for every phrase I speak, I'm given the window where it wants me to tell it what I said. This works fine, but obviously is worthless when wishing to dictate. This is alos true for my email (Yahoo.com). Can anyone tell me why for all this.
