Vista upgrade on other machine?
Just ordered the Vista upgrade for my laptop. Couple questions:
1. What if I want to use the upgrade on another new machine (desktop) to gauge performance? Can I install the laptop-upgrade Vista disk on another machine, and if it works speedily enough, use the new desktop Vista upgrade back on my Dell laptop?
2. I suppose that I am not allowed to use both XP install and the upgrade Vista at the same time (dual boot)?

Hoping to use desktop to get a sense of the performance hit, if any, Vista is gonna bring. My M1210 has a Geforce card and is peppy but want to make sure a Vista install isnt gonna make it unbearable.
