Want to undo show windows horizontally
I was working on two windows and wanted to see both at the same time so I right-clicked on the task bar and chose to show windows horizontally, now when I click on links they come up in horizontal arrangements, instead of a full window. I can use the buttons on top right and maximize the window, but want the window to come up maximized to begin with. Dell Dimension 3000, running Windows XP PRO and IE8. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

liz1954,
These instructions and screenshots are from Windows 7 but are similar.
Right click on the blue e, left click properties.
After you left click properties, you'll see...
After run:, select Mazimized from the drop down menu. Then click apply, then ok.
Nect time you open Internet Explorer, you'll have it maximized.

Pudgyone, Thank you for your advice. Explorer had somehow changed to normal, I remaximized it, closed explorer, opened again and checked with a few links, the third one was half a window, so I restarted my computer and checked again through five links and they all came up maximized. Thanks, now when I tile windows horizontally next time I will be able to adjust it back to normal. Appreciate your help. Liz.

Liz,
I usually leave mine on maxmized, I like it to open full screen each time. If I want the screen smaller, I usually click the restore down button and then adjust it to the size I need it to be.
