What does creating a Factory backup do?
What is a Factory Backup, recovery media and factory reinstall disk? What does each of them do? Can they get back the whole original OS if it ever gets corrupted? As in including the license so that its just as new and I don't need to buy a key from microsoft?

Hi Adib254,
Most of the Dell systems are not shipped with recovery media. There is an inbuilt application in Dell systems called Dell Datasafe/ Dell Backup and recovery which can be used to restore the system back to the factory state. This will include the operating system, hardware drivers and applications purchased during the point of sale.
The operating system installed on the computer is pre-activated on Dell computers. If the operating system reinstallation is performed the product key prompt will not appear (if Dell OEM disc is used).
