Does the error message also say "w indows no disk" ?
 
If it does check the start up tab in msconfig for any programs which require a disk and untick it.

I've had a look in the start up tab... how do I tell which ones need a disk and which ones dont. sorry, dont know much about this stuff!!...

For example,if you installed a game,MS office program,etc.
