My 8400 came in without an OS CD. I was told to create a backup CD using the restore utility. What is the difference between the backup CD and a "normal" OS CD, or the one DELL used to send with the machine?

 

BTW, what if the restore image has been destroyed? (my friend did so and is now sitting beside me, tears in eyes... haha). What dell can help in this case?
