When laptop's battery is low it puts the computer to sleep without warning
When my laptop's battery became as low as 10% it has always warned me and suggested that I plug the computer in. But since it updated Windows to 2017-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for amd64-based Systems (KB4048955), the computer goes to sleep without warning even when the battery still is 13% charged. Power options are as shown in the attached file. How can I get a warning and an opportunity to plug in?

What is the model of your computer? Follow the information listed in the link below and let us know if this resolved the issue.

Thanks for your prompt reply, Jesse L. My computer is a Dell Inspiron 15z laptop. Its taskbar shows the battery icon, so the link you sent me to offers no help. As the file attached to my original post shows, Control Panel's battery setting specify that the computer is to issue a warning when the battery is low, but instead it simply blanks the screen and goes to sleep. I do need that warning so I can plug the computer in and avoid having it go to sleep. Any ideas?

I have a workaround for this problem: increasing the threshold for low battery. The computer now issues the desired warning.
