Where to find 1394 net adapter driver?

 Hello,
I'd like to know if 1394 net adapter driver comes with re-installation of Windows XP Home SP2? Or is it something that has to be downloaded and installed seperately? I looked at the Downloads and Drivers page for my laptop model Inspiron 640M. But 1394 net adapter driver is not listed there. Or could it possibly come with other drivers such as the modem driver Conexant V.92, or perhpas with Broadcom, Intel Wireless? Thanks.

The IEEE 1394 Adapter is your firewire adpater and will install automatically when you install the OS.

Thanks for your reply.  So to understand you correctly, the driver for the 1394 net adapter comes in Windows XP Home edition SP2 OS?
Thanks.

Yes.  No action is required on your part.  Complete driver instructions are here:

http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dsn/en/document?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&dn=1090643

To find and download the drivers for your system, scroll down the page on click on
"Drivers and Downloads". Then enter your Service Tag or model number of your computer.
Select your operating system and then download the drivers that you need.
