Why can't I print pdf-files?
Hey...
I have a Dell All-In-One Printer 922. I reinstalled the Acrobat Reader and the Driver fpr the printer but I still have the problem. A window with the headline "Convert output in file" appears. Here I have to type a name for the output-file. If I give the PC a name for it and click on "ok" nothing happens. Now I have a file, but I can't do anything with it.
I don't know why I've this problem because I didn't do anything with the printer or with drivers and it worked before. I looked, if there are any tools from Dell in the internet, but I haven't found anything. I even didn't found out, how I can write them a mail to get some help from them. So I hope anybody of you can help me...
If not, have a nice day! Byebye

normally to print a pdf file you just click on the printer icon at the top left of the page and select the correct printer.

Is the Dell Printer set as the Default Printer in the Printers and Faxes folder?

Hmmm not to sure about your program, however:
http://www.pdfforge.org/products/pdfcreator/download
This is a free pdf printer it is very useful, can be used to merge word documents pictures, excel sheets etc into one pdf. It is absolutely free and can be installed by anyone on any computers.
Note there is a toolbar with it but you can opt not to install it. I never have toolbars on my internet explorer.

You must use the print command in the Adobe Reader's file menu, not in Windows, IE or any other browser or program. You do not need to add a pdf printer driver. You might be confusing the expensive Acrobat software with the free Adobe Reader. Download the latest Adobe Reader here. You have to manually uninstall any other version of the reader yourself by using Add-Remove Programs since Adobe just keeps piling on the revisions and never removes the old ones.

Hi again!
To Steve: Yes, it’s set as the default printer.
To Natakuc: I even tried this, but it didn’t help. Now I deleted any program, which had to do with my problem and installed only the Adobe Reader again and the software for the printer.
To Mary: Now I deleted the Reader and installed the new version. But again the same problem. Then I tried to print a pdf-file with a right click on the mouse and choosed the print-field. (I hope you can follow me…) And it worked!! Don’t know why….do you? Then I opened the file again and tried to print it with a click left of the page and it worked again…I can’t really say YOU gave me the solution, but THANKS a lot for the quick answers!! Byebye
