Windows 11 keeps asking for username/password — how can I remove this?

Hi everyone,

I have a Dell laptop running Windows 11. Recently, Windows asked me to install an update, so I selected Update and Shut Down.

After that, I noticed that Windows and some applications keep asking me for my username/password or Windows security verification. I would like to remove the unnecessary password/verification prompts and use my laptop without being asked for credentials repeatedly.

I have already removed the Windows Hello PIN, but I am still getting username/password prompts in some situations.

How can I safely disable these repeated login/password prompts without deleting my files or affecting my Microsoft account?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you! 😊

Hi

The obvious question is which/what update did you do?

Which apps are needing verification?
