You did not state whether you had an XPS, Precision, or Optiplex 7760. In any case have you gone to the support page for your system and downloaded all the Windows 11 drivers including the chipset driver, BIOS, etc.?

7760 CTO and yes all drivers and updates including bios and  optional drivers applied. ProSupport helped me today to reverse the Windows-11 upgrade with no troubles. So we’re back on Windows-10. Much better…

I do not recommend upgrade to Windows-11 at this time.

Did you ever try running the system without the added Dock and other items?

That doesn't sound good.  I notice Microsoft has been making changes regarding external monitors.  But your situation may also be based on other things, such as if you were using Thunderbolt for the Dock connection.

If you decide to reinstall Win 11 and start having problems again, maybe come back to the forum while you still have Win 11 available for troubleshooting.

Take Care

Yes for the first day, without the docking station and only 2 external SSDs, I ran windows 11 and initial speed was much better than on Windows-10. On the 2nd day, dock and monitors were attached and all updates applied, including a new bios update and manual updates for docking station. Over the next week Windows-11 developed its own life and became unusable.

Thanks, yes the dock was attached thru the double thunderbolt ports. Unfortunately there are problems on windows-10 as well, but much less severe than on Windows-11, and some issues affect both -10 and -11. I’d really like to see Dell and Microsoft work these issues out so people like you and me can stop wasting time troubleshooting and get back to work. Even on Windows-10, Dell is continuing to release bios and device updates, and support people are overwhelmed. In fact as of today, I will be doing a complete reset on Windows-10. So, why does Microsoft continue releasing garage, and why didn’t Dell do their due diligence before releasing products that aren’t consumer ready? Sorry for the soapbox commentary, but after almost 8 months and over 200 hours of troubleshooting, my business is in total distraction mode and I need to get back to work!
